Donate to Provide Free Legal Advocacy for Disabled People
What is this project about?
This project aims to provide legal advice and assistance, representation and
information to disabled people or their guardians. This is one of the core focuses of the Disability Care Trust. Often disabled children and their families need legal assistance and advice when their legitimate rights are refused by the local authorities, central government and relevant state authorities. In these circumstance they desperately need legal assistance and advice which is very expensive, and they sometimes cannot afford it.
Disability Care Trust seeks to arrange legal assistance for disabled people which would help ensure their human rights, as well as any special rights which they entitled to due to their conditions.
Who will benefit from your donation?
Donations given to this project will mainly allow the Disability Care Trust
to meet long term objectives of organising regular awareness sessions for the organisations and groups working with disabled people, training lawyers to provide advice on legal rights of disabled people.
What will we do?
Under this project, we aim to ensure advocacy sessions are arranged as and when needed, with a target of supporting at least 20 disabled people/families per year.
