What is this project about?

When a person provides support and care to a person with disabilities, whether it is provided by parents, close relatives or a professional care worker, it is imperative that the person is completely aware of the rights of that disabled person and the specialised type of treatment the person needs. While the professional care service providers often receive some training, often members of a disabled person’s family lack the specialised knowledge and skills that are  required to undertake such specialised care activities. This can not only deprive the disabled person of the possibility of improvement but also increase the risks of possible harm. As such, a short training course on the essentials for support to disable person would provide direct benefits to carers who provide support and care to disabled people.

Who will benefit from your donation?

Donations given to this project will mainly benefit all types of people with disabilities that require some form of care provision. The training provided to carers and family members will help to ensure that those disabled people will receive their care in a safe, knowledgeable and respectful manner. We hope to benefit people in both the UK and Bangladesh

What will we do?

Under this project, we aim to create and teach a comprehensive module on care providers role and responsibility, separately catering for UK and Bangladesh social contexts.

We also hope to undertake the professional training of at least one other trainer every 3 months, so that our Care training initiative can increase exponentially
